As the Island rings in 2014, the 150th anniversary celebrations will begin! New Year’s Eve festivities in the City of Charlottetown will officially open 2014 events in this province. The special night will include both outdoor celebrations and an indoor ticketed event. The outdoor celebrations will be family-friendly — featuring fireworks, performances by East Coast artists, ice sculptures, a children’s play area and other activities around Province House and the historic downtown. The indoor ticketed event will present an evening of entertainment by a major Canadian performer and other acclaimed artists from the East Coast.
